Traeger 150 Can't control the heat?

These are pretty old 150s I have when made in the USA, the problem is once I get them going it seems the fire just blows out of control all full blast. I changed the controllers and the fire pots look ok... at a loss here. Any help appreciated.

I don't have any experience with Traegers, but my guess would be possibly a faulty or dirty temp sensor. Make sure it's plugged into the controller correctly and try cleaning it with a Scotch Brite pad and see if that helps.

What kind of controller do you have now?
