Tri-Tip & Crab Fritter

The wife had a hankering for some crab, so we picked up a pound of lump crab meat and decided to cook it up into some fritters with a side of tri-tip.

#171 was setup with the MAK Griddle & Split Grate, set to 275°, a sprinkling of Little Louie's w/black pepper and the tri-tips were on.

Asparagus on an upper half rack, then later some Garlic & Herb Beer Drop Biscuits.

Mixed up the Beer Batter Crab Fritters (Lump Crab, Flour, egg, Baking Powder, Beer, Roasted Red Pepper, Scallions & some seasonings.

The Crab cakes were tender Hot & full of flavor.

Cliff,
That is one outstanding looking meal. The crab fritters took it over the top. I wish we could find some tri-tip around here. Everytime I see someone cook it, I get jealous. I may make a trip to a butchershop in Taylorsville this week to see what they have. Since it is a "butchershop", hopefully I can get at least one tri-tip. If you see me cook it, I was successful.

You may need to come up with something you can cook at SEGASO. You have us all drooling everytime you post something.

Art, I am actually planning to bring the Weber/Stoven Combo. I love that it's designed to be portable.

Sparky, I'm definitely looking forward to meeting you too (& Art, & Rick, & Deb, & Rip...). Oh yeah... and finally getting a Fat Tire!
