I'm a new owner of a MAK 2 and want to know which end of the Flame Zone faces the smoke box? I noticed two different sized openings at the ends of the Flame Zone, but I can't find anything in the directions about the right way to orient it. My second question: when searing, can you just uncover one side of the Flame Zone and use the searing grill over it or must you remove both covers? I'm cooking just two steaks that will easily fit on the searing grate. Thanks for all of the great info on this amazing grill!
