Week day chicken. Have found a week day meal can be easily cooked on the
Ole Hickory Pits Ace BP. With these not being a long cook all that is need is a chimney of charcoal. Cook this day was Chicken halves and corn on the cob.We have also filled two racks with chicken potatoes and corn with the same results.

Rather then start a new thread Just adding so photos of another cook on the ACE BP.
Tri Tip with double secret for rub and Gold Buckle Brisket sauce used when wrapped. Cooked like a brisket until tender which was 194º.Used a chimney and a half of charcoalfour over 4 hours of cook time.
Then left on the counter for 20 minutes then into the frig overnight. Next day added about 3 oz of water to the foil and reheat on the MAK grill and Super Smoker box. While We were roasting some corn on the cob

More chicken

Did some more chicken on the Ole Hickory Pits Ace BP.
Marinated these using a store bought package. It can be used with lemon or orange juice. the package claims as little as one to 8 hours. Have found if done first thing in the morning it is ready by dinner time. Unless you use the Marinade Express then it is ready in one hour.Next plan it to use orange juice with just Desert gold as the marinade spice. Just as information. we can do the chicken with only one chimney full of charcoal on the Ole Hickory Pits. The size of this beast makes you think it would use a lot more.If wanted for presentation or eating the skin can be crisp up at 400º on any other cooker. Usually we set a MAK at 400º have the chicken on the MAK for 15 minutes then the rest of the cooking on the Ole Hickory Pits Ace BP if I plan on eating the skin. then cook the corn on the cob on the MAK while the chicken finishes on the Ace BP
