What's on your list......

Of things to try?

One of the coolest things about this forum is the amount of ideas and great cooks that get passed around on a weekly basis.

It seems every time someone has a good cook or a new idea there is always the "that's going on my list" comment.

I was just wondering what everyone has on their Smoking "To Do" list?

For me (just a few):

Brisket
Learn to make sausage
More seafood
Eggplant Parmesan
Cure my own bacon

Great post.....

1. I want to improve my. brisket, I stare with envy at some of the briskets that I see on tv and in some of these forums. I do ok with my smoke ring, but mine never turn out as juicy and tender as what I see.... It's driving me nuts...

2. I want to smoke a ham and then glaze it

3. I want to do more kabobs, I think it's a very sexy way to enjoy grilling.

After being with the forum since it last October and seeing all the posts, I don't there's enough bandwidth to post the whole list!

But Bacon is way up towards the top!

I agree the bacon and sausage is at the top of my list.
Had a cold smoker made and haven't use it yet.
Also pizza, the apple thing that cowgirl does, the giant meatball filled with cheese and pasta not sure who did that?
This list could be long, lots of inspiration on this site

Learning to make pastrami. Although after reading some of the posts and looking at what some of the members are accomplishing, my list of recipes to try is growing very long.

like ITFD#15 says.

Being new at this, my list is long. But priorities are:
1. Bacon
2. Fattie (Sparky said I need to get my grill dirty!)
3. Brisket (afraid to try yet)
4. Seafood (actually used the gasser last night because we had friends over and everyone on the forum says don't test on friends only family-I am actually embarrassed to say I used by gasser last night!).
List goes on, but those are at the top.

1. Beef brisket
2. Venison pastrami
3. The candied beef tips that Tent made
4. Duck
5. Larger variety of seafood
6. So many things from that long list of videos on BPS.com

I better stop now.

1. Try to make a dessert ... still never tried (in fairness I never tried in the house either...
2. Jerky (never tried at all)
3. Tri-tip
4. more creative ways to do veggies
5. breakfast fattie
6. Make food to bring in to feed my entire office. Not that big but an eclectic mix of people from all over the country, a lot of which are good cooks.

And the list gets much longer. But this should take me through August!
