I did filets on the Traeger tonight, and boy were they delicious. Cooked them on High to 155, using Mesquite pellets. And who said you couldn't get grill marks off a pellet smoker?
Well, since you cooked them on high you weren't getting much smoke on them and since it was indirect cooking it would be difficult to justify saying you grilled them. Referring to it as cooked makes sense to me but there's no hard and fast rule.
One thing for sure is they look nice and juicy!
Thanks, all. Just figuring out all this stuff. There's definitely a slight learning curve going from a gas grill to one of these things, but it's worth it.
