Long time lurker. Finally got a pellet grill a couple of weeks ago.

Anyway rubbed a tri-tip I found on sale the other day with some basamic, coated with DSSR, and topped with some Jallelujah. Put it on the Rec tec at 270 til it hit 135 internal, pulled and wrapped til it went to about 140. Let it rest and just like professor BP said....

I'm liking this pellet smokin'...

Fantastic job! I let my TT's rest for a full 20 minutes at the minimum. What's next on the list of things you plan to smoke Xylosmoke??

Welcome out of the lurking status!

Well, I've already done some Ribs, chicken, pizza, pork tenderloin, fatties and of course some bacon for the first cook.
Will probably do some pulled pork and a brisket in the next week or two.

My next job may be modeling for "before" pictures at the weight loss clinic.

Hey Xylo - I'm new to pellet grillin and going to do my first TT this weekend. Yours looks great and I'm going to see if I can duplicate it. But I can't figure out what DSSR stands for. Thanks for the tip.

Yup, Matt is exactly right. Double Secret Steak Rub. It's good stuff!

Been lurking but haven't been taking pics of my cooks.

Good luck on the Tri Tip and make sure you post pictures.....
