Grill Grates?

Good afternoon,

I own a Traeger Texas Grill. I just ordered a 19.25" grate from BP. Are these replacements for the standard grill or to be place on top of the exhisting grill? After viewing the pictures in another section with it is not clear? I am thinking they just lay over the exhisting grill to give support but I wanted to check to be sure.

I have a set on the way for my Traeger Jr. I've been told they work best installed in place of the OE grate with the drip tray removed. Next best ( and the way I'm going to use them) is to remove the OE grate and put the Grillgrate on the drip tray..
They have been discussed in depth over on pelletheads.com

i used grill grate on my lil tex and they worked great.

I've heard good things about GrillGrates but has anyone tried Mangrates (these are made of heavy cast iron and look like they will last a lifetime)?
