I am new the pellet smoking work. I just purchased a Traeger JR. I love it. I have added the upgraded thermostat and it has been amazing. Still think Charcoal is best, but this sure does take the work out of it.

I know someone who has a Traeger Jr. with the folding legs option and upgraded to an Ortech controller, which made a HUGE difference in its performance. It is one smoking little machine!

Welcome to the forum Tdawg. I think as your journey using your pellet grill progresses you'll find charcoal and pellets each cook outstanding meals. How fortunate we are to have the best of both worlds. Good luck and good smoking.
