I decided to try two things I haven't tried yet on my MAK. First, started with the pork tenderloin. To my surprise, it was actually two little ones in the package. Didn't have butcher's twine, so connected them with toothpicks (I need to get some butcher's twine). Seasoned with Traeger's Sweet Rub (great on pork). Put on the MAK and then in the warming box at 135°F.
While it was cooking, boiled some artichokes for 25 minutes. Then covered the artichokes with Annies EVOO w/garlic and Desert Gold. Then cranked up the MAK to 400°F and seared the tenderloin until it reached 145°F and finished the artichokes on the grill.
May not look pretty, but the tenderloin was done to perfection (even family said so ):
Final plate:
I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Can't wait for tomorrow.
