Saturday night chicken

Spent spring break visiting family and needed something easy after getting home on Saturday. Started with some Costco chicken thighs. Like to use Slap Yo Daddy chicken rub, but was out. So tried a blend of 3EYZ (now out), Plowboys Fin and Feathers (now out), and Smokin Guns Hot Rub. Looks like it is time to order some new rubs!

Put on the MAK 2 Star at 325°F (seasoned more heavily than I usually do):

Moved up to 350°F and added a foil pouch with Zucchini, EVOO, butter, and BPS Desert Gold:

All plated up:

Simple but good. Not seasoned too much!

Thanks for looking!

We grill, smoke, cook more chicken then anything else. The price helps makes that choice. I do prefer the higher heat when cooking.

Jim, how high a heat do you cook chicken at? I haven't gone over 350 yet. Just wondering if you cook even hotter. Thanks for any advice. Starting to cook chicken a lot more lately.

That is some of the best looking chicken thighs I think I've ever seen posted. I love the crust you got on the skin. YUM!!!

325 is what we consider high heat. Have done some in the 400 range too. Usually 325 or 275. That 50 degrees makes a difference
