Still learning about pellet grill smoking.

I recently purchased a Green Mountain Grill Daniel Boone grill. I have tried using the GMG pellets, and have been disappointed with the lack of smoke flavoring in my finished products. I recently smoked an 8lb turkey breast for 7 hrs. at 180 deg. and it barely got darkened skin, but did reach 190 deg. internal temp. I did up the temp. to 225 deg. for the last hour of smoking, but still seems to lack that deep smoke flavor we all crave.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Welcome! Have you considered adding a smoke generator for added smoke? I use an A-Maze-N tube smoker in mine sometimes for extra smoke flavor.

You will simply not get deep smoke flavor from a pellet cooker. The fan is blowing the smoke out of the pit and doesn't have time to settle. As others have said you can add more smoke with a generator like the tube they mentioned or a Smoke Daddy like I run.
