Crazy question: Anyone ever try doing paella on one of these pellet smoking grills?

So, I'm checking my e-mail, and latienda.com sends me this notice about a sale on things from Valencia for the "Flavors of Valencia." One of the items on sale is this set up to cook paella on something that looks like a grill.

Anyone ever try to put a paella pan on their pellet smoking grill to try to make paella? Yeah...I know...it's not a BBQ type thing, but it is outdoor cooking. Just wondering if anyone ever tried that.

Maybe if you took the grates and drip pan out, and put the Paella pan direct on the heat diffuser? Might have to prop it up a bit on some bricks or something..

This was posted back in March, But I don't know if it was done on a pellet cooker --> http://www.pelletsmoking.com/competition-19/havabbq-few-pics-1256/

Hmm... Paella is something I haven't thought of doing. But since a lot of Paella recipes use smoked Spanish paprika, doing them on a pellet smoker to get that smoky flavor seems like a natural thing to do.

You've got my brain in high gear now!

Thanks. I wonder if that was cooked on a smoker or grill at all. Maybe, once I actually get a smoker/grill, I can try to figure this out.
