hey all,

as some of you may remember I was on the fence between Mak and FE . I eventually took the plunge and go the FE ... simply a personal decision on the model i chose...

with that said, i have had the unit for a week now and I have to say I love cooking with pellets....

I messed around for 2 years with charcoal and ceramic and I have to say Pellet is the only way i would go...its just so easy.... whatever brand/model a user choses to buy.....

I see the light on pellets and see many many bags of pellets in the future....

Set the temp and let it rip.......

Glad to hear that you are enjoying your grill. Now you have to use a camera and show us. What's on the FE sounds great.

What Carter, Sparky & Hobbit said!!!

While we love reading about it, around here we live for pics & have a saying, "No pics; it didn't happen!" :p

Get us some pics and get 'em posted in the contest section too! :)

Oh yeah, and welcome to the Dark Side!

Well...the meal was awesome...

brisket came out great, though its different to what the family is used to...they are used to brisket done in the oven in lots of liquid/gravy....but it was incredibly tender and tasty...

prime rib was phenomenal...flavor and quality was great....

corn was great..though didn't pick up much smoke flavor...

also put some portabella shrooms on the direct side...

so overall success, next time i take photos....

Was that a whole packer? What was the weight. What temp did you use. Got a buddy from Texas that wants me to cook a brisket for him.

I was at a friends house the other day and did some chicken on his gas grill. What a pain in the ___ that was. All you have to do is go back to your days before pelets to renew your appreciation for this type of cooking.

Yaw I had a pellet attack this eve when I got in from work. Cooked pork chops on the MAK in the rain .. life is good and so were the chops!
