I want to be the coo0lest bbq store around and to do that I try to search out the best of the best....the Big Poppa Test Kitchen gets stuff all the time and only accepts about 10%....

I try to sell stuff that is either a must have staple....or try to introduce new things to the outdoor cooking arena (like the Balsamic Glazes as glue)

Most times is works...sometimes I get a product that I fall in love with that the public doesnt try or rejects (the Galeos Salad Dressings...for example. Great tasting low cal and protein based dressings...we had to pour them down the drain....ouch)

Lets hear it....you guys and gals can be involved in what we sell....

One stop Baby@ Thats my goal

There is a company called Fire and Flavor that makes brineing kits that I use when I can find them. Usually only around thanksgiving. They are marketed for tukeys but could be used for pork also. They come in 4 or 5 flavor profiles. It,s a nice base to build your brines from. You can check them out at Fireandflavor.com. Easy to use and come with a bag that will hold a 25# turkey.

You may have enough pull to get mak to design a grill lite for the maks. Most of the stuff out there is garbage. Also, a grill brush that actually works on grill grates. The twisted brushes are to wide and the flat are to shallow. Just throwing out some ideas.

I only have a handful of "go-to" rubs that are not available from the BPS site:

Texas BBQ Rubs (I use the original but lots of folks love the Championship and the Brisket rub)
Slap Yo Daddy Meat Rub
The Slabs Chicken & Ribs
Mansmiths Rubs (I purchase "Rib Spice", "Grilling Spice", and "Crusting Rub" from them when I find them competing in NorCal)

Nothing new here, just connfirming what others have posted:

Texas BBQ Rubs (Original Rub, Grand Champion, and Old No 2 Brisket Rub). I love these rubs.
Soileau's Bayou Blend (I have to try Sparky's go to rub for ribs!)

BP, you do a great job keeping great stuff out on your website to try. No complaints here! Just with a free drop, these are things that I would love to purchase from you.

+3 on the Bayou blend. Also on many of the John Henry's.

add me to the list. Soileaus Bayou Blend I gave as Christmas presents. Soileaus is pronounced "Soy your"

Use a lot of John Henry's the one I like is Judys Favorite.
Cowtown rubs with all purpose being my favorite.

One issue to consider spice like the Soileaus we buy by the case now so a lot of use maybe stocked up for awhile. Just like the John Henrys I have a good stock of. The plus side is those who have not discovered spices like Soileaus could do it without buying a case of it. I would prefer one stop shopping it makes is easy to get to the Free Shipping threshold.

sis it is all msg and salt and black pepper....mostly msg

I just went and looked at the ingredients of one our favorites for chicken (Johnny's) and found the second ingredient to be MSG.

Dang it BP. You made me look. ;)

I do have to say after trying many of the traeger rubs, non of them really excite my taste buds.

IMHO the traeger rubs suck. Way way too salty.

Ditto that! When I bought my Lil Tex I bought every Traeger Rub and Shake except for two. I went crazy and bought them all. When I opened a few and tried them, MAN oh MAN were they salty! I offered them up to anyone who wanted them on another forum and boxed them up and shipped them out, most of them unopened. What a waste of good money!
