well, kristen called and told me my hasty bake is on a truck. ya who.... alright, i want everyone to send my hasty bake some good karma vibes. should be here in a week or so. i'm so happy. :)

I cooked some steaks and asparagus on mine tonight and they were money, the smoke was blowing north so that should be good karma right?
 
Can't wait to see the first cook Sparky! I think I have been waiting for this for about a month! My gut feel is that if you like it, I will probably be asking my boss if I can buy one:)

You might as well enjoy the anticipation Sparky. Once it gets there you won't have anything to look forward to. Heavy sigh.....:rolleyes:

i got plenty to look forward too. ribs, pork butt, brisket, hamburgers, steaks, chicken, veges, seafood and smores. i love smores w/ milk. alot.... :) :) :)

Question..I see where it's been said the hasty bake is the perfect companion to the pellet grill. What can the hasty bake do the pellet grill can't?

Great question. I was wondering the same myself. Of course the higher grill temps and adjustable coal bed are nice but whats the feature that makes you say i gotta have one.

I like cooking steak, tri tip, chicken, hamburgers and smores over lump. Also going to try ribs and pork butts on lump.

What sounds great to me is reverse searing the steaks on the mak and then get them coals right under those steaks on the hasty at about 600 or 700 degrees for a fine crust. Yummm
