I'm very interested in your grate temps from bottom shelf to top shelf. My temps are 25* difference with top being hotter.

not bad. #336 hits the set temp. the grill temp is always wrong. i'm happy. and i have ver 1.5 on my mak.

Great looking chicken! Hungry, hungry...just curious why you want the full flame zone cover? I'm trying to get two half covers for my 2012 MAK2, so I can smoke, then grill, without having to swap things out.

H#!! no. Hazel will be w/ me until i die. i like the babysitting (more FT time by the grill). i have been looking at the stumps smokers lately (gravity feed smokers. gravity feed lump. oh my gosh, how cool). wife says no more smokers though. shes mean.

most of my cooks are for long periods. butts, briskets, ribs. the full flame zone cover would work better for my application. you got a full zone cover you want to swap 2 1/2 covers for? i'll meet ya and the In & Out over buy the gallaria in roseville.

they came w/ the maverick. this works too.

take a little potato. cut the bottom off so it sits flat. poke probe thru the top of it. waa laa. instead probe holder. the old guys does have mad skills around the bbq. lol.
