OT - Candied pineapple

I peeeled and cut up three pineapples, and put them in a pot with 3 cups of water and 6 cups of sugar. I dissolved the sugar in the water before putting in the pineapple

Bring to a boil, reduce to med-low, cook until the pineapple is translucent, about an hour or 2.

into the dehydrator at 120F for 24 hours, then check..

And we thought you only cooked great things on your MAK and rode your bike long distances. I had completely forgotten about using my dehydrator. Too many toys, I guess. Nice job, FLB!!

It's still pretty sticky, I put it in for another 24 hours and kicked the temp up to 140.

The "by product" of the pineapple flavored simple syrup was a definite hit. Maybe the candied pineapple is the by-product.
