I sent Bob and Felicia an e-mail directly, but wanted forum readers to know of another truly exceptional MAK customer service story...
On Tuesday morning I attempted to change out my temperature probe. The original probe wire was accidently stripped when I changed out my original metal housing (MAK #85) for the new Stainless Steel body...
When removing the side panel, and then unscrewing the fan housing, I accidentally dropped the fan. The fan wire ripped completely out of the fan housing (probably a good thing since the circuit board was not damaged).
If this wasn't bad enough, the larger problem was that I am having 20 people over Friday and I'm preparing a 16 lb packer brisket. And I am now bolting out the door to catch a 12 pm flight to Boston.
I e-mailed Bob/Felicia at MAK. Asked them, please air express a fan - I need by Thursday. Felicia called my cell later Tuesday afternoon and had two UPS quotes. I settled on second day UPS.
Well, the fan arrived this afternoon, the temp probe and fan have been replaced, and I'm doing some test burns to make sure everything is good...
Bottom line... just great Customer Service and follow through by MAK.....
Now - wish me luck on the Brisket....
