Just got my Mak 2 Star

I ordered my Mak 2 star from Big Poppa on the 16th and it arrived in Boise Idaho on the Friday the 19th. UPS Freight was not going to be able to deliver it until Today the 22nd. I could not wait and I have a full size truck so I called them on Friday to see if I could just swing by and have them put it in my truck. They said yes which rocked. So I went and picked it up on Friday. By Friday night I was smoking. I must say that the Mak 2 Star is a very well build piece of hardware. Up until I got the Mak I was using a Webber kettle with the Smokenator. Pellet smoking is the way to go.

Congrats. Must be nice. I already want one and have only had a Traeger for about a week and a half lol. That will be my next grill. What I have seems fine but I want a MAK. They are COOl!!

I cooked some chicken thighs last night. I used Big Poppa's "Money" Championship rub and it was some of the best tasting chicken I have had.

Getting ready to do my first brisket. I will take photos. Going to put it on @ 1ish am. It is a whole packer it weighs about 14lb after trimming.
