Hi all.Name is Randall, just upgraded from traeger to a Mak 2 star general that I bought through big poppa. found this site and like all the info. just received my mak 2 days ago and haven't had a chance to cook on it yet cuz the sick bug got me. Going to fire it up sometime today I hope. I am super impressed with the quality of the build. Hopefully cooks as good as it looks:cool: also, what a great online store bigpoppa is.

Thanks Guys. I finally was able to throw some stuffed burgers down, nothing fancy , this is a very nice grill . gave me an entirely different feel. Today I am going to do up some bb ribs.

another thing that impressed me was when I did my first fire up at 450 for 40 minutes, it was 10 degrees outside and my pellet boss said the pit was 450. My traeger wouldn't hit 400, it would have been mid to high 3's at best. cant wait to keep cooking on this thing and find all I love about it. I was really scared about dropping 3grand (grill + accessories ) and it not showing it's worth. but after unpacking and assembly I was pretty confident I made a good choice.

Welcome . We loved our first MAK two star so much we ordered a second one from Big Poppa Smokers and that was years ago and the MAK Grills have served hundreds if not a thousand meals since then. It gets more use the the cooking device In the house! Including when it is In the teens like tonight.

Welcome to the forum I've had my 2star for about short 9months. I am sure you will very pleased and happy with the MAK. If your like me you'll have that thing full of good treats year round. Looking forward to your posts.

cooked a few different things now and I am loving the Mak. this weekend it will be cooking almost the whole time, making meals for the week.

My only regret.....should have got the 4 star.......
