2 Star in the rain?

I was thinking of doing a brisket for the early thanksgiving we're doing this weekend (pilgrims had brisket, right?) but the forecast looks like rain. Can the 2 Star cook like that? I could put up an ez-up tent if I have to...

If it's raining sideways maybe, you are in Chicago after all!

It's a decision you have to make, is it possible for rain to blow in areas of the grill, yes. Will it hurt the grill, no (might make a mess if a lot of it gets down into the belly of the pit). One thing to note is the pellets will build more ash due to the fan blowing moisture into the fire pot so you will need to clean it when done (you should clean your fire pot after every long smoke anyway).

I cooked in the rain for 2 years on my 2 Star without any issues before we built an awning, now I don't get soaked putting food on the grill :)
