Sorry, no pics. I was too busy cooking like a mad man.
If I've seemed scarce on the forum lately, it's because it's been that time of year again; High School Band Camp! And today we wrapped it up with the annual H.S. Marching band cookout.
So what was different with the cookout this year? I had two pellet grills in my arsenal, the Stoven & MAK 1 Star, which made cooking for 130+ hungry kids & staff so much easier than the past couple of years.
Both grills got their share of attention, but the MAK 1 Star really got lots of "Ooohs & Ahhhs." I knew some parents & staff would have questions so, I asked MAK Daddy to send me some brochures to hand out.
The MAk 1 Star quickly caught the attention of the lady who runs the cafeteria. She immediate recognized it was a quality product. Her husband happens to love smoking food, and as she walked away with a brochure she said, "Now I have an idea what to get him for Christmas!"
P.S. You better believe that Big Poppa Smokers was mentioned as MAK's biggest and best dealer.
