I have had the special "Dealer of the Year" Two Star for about two weeks. I wanted to give you guys my impressions.

Here is how I know that I love a cooker.....how much cooking I do on it....There are twelve cookers in my 'Smoker Garden" I have used the new 2 star all but two cooks.

It seems to put out more smoke and is similar to the one star...(MAK Daddy...is this science or voodoo?)

The flame diverter and quick change shields are fabulous. I have done slow cooks to many different combination reverse smokes and grilled on it last night. All really good. I like the controls on the new pellet boos a lot too.

5 Stars Home Run. Seriously How about some of you that have bought the new 2 Star chime in with your impressions? Thanks a Lot

I LOVE IT!! Such a versatile machine.. there is really nothing you can't do on it. Best purchase I have made!

I agree with all of your comments BP. The fast change shields are great. One of the things I have noticed is how much quicker you can empty the firepot with the quick change shields. Remove the grates, remove the shield, remove the diffuser and there is the firepot. I also agree that it is producing more smoke than the original 2 Star did.

Plus, it is built like a tank! Awesome cooker and extremely versatile.

If my #210 weren't in such wonderful condition I would buy the new 2012 model in a New York minute. MAK Grills are made so well I don't think I'll ever need another. So when the Retro Flame Zone ever hits BPs shelfs I'll buy one and be a most happy guy. That is if the Flame Zone ever gets to BPs shelf.

Ditto! Want to see how the upgrade shakes out.

Just a matter of time before the full size flame zone hits Big Poppa Smokers is my guess. The folks at MAK continue to tweak on it MAKing sure it is the best it can be. It is how they roll! They do a lot of research and testing so MAK owners get a quality unit.
