Why use the cheap toss away aluminum cooking dish instead of a getting a glass, Ceramic, Stainless, or other re-usable tray? Seems like a money pit tossing those things out .

Also the volume, sometimes you just need more volume than what the smaller containers have. Also the ease of availability and all the different sizes.

I use them because my wife has a problem with me getting her good stuff smokey. It seems not matter how hard I scrub some of those pans just won't go back to the original brightness. When I suggested that I go out and purchase good pans for the smoker I received the evil eye.:D

Ahh that dreaded evil eye. Millions of years of evolution and it still gives men around the world the spinal shivers. Lol

Ditto. I have some 'outside pans' for that kind of stuff, but I usually go with the foil ones. I'll toss them in the dishwasher once or twice, then into the recycling container when they start to leak.

Good one Stig! Around our house it's known as The Look. I learned a long time ago that "what?" is not the correct response to The Look.

There seems to be a common thread to "the LOOK" and a male's response to it. Most of the time it is just easier to respond with a quick "Yes, dear" and move on. Keep a low profile and keep moving. Hard to hit a moving target.
