just wanting to hear everyone's ideas on basting slow low

do u brine and baste?

I use apple juice to baste pork
chicken broth for chicken and turkey
beef broth for . . . well . . . beef

what are people using for whole birds? Butter?

how about lamb and buffalo?

look forward to the info . . .

I used to mop brisket, pork shoulder & ribs to add another layer of flavor, but quit basting/mopping/spraying during the actual cook years ago, and now my cooks take a lot less time.
