Big Poppa's Pizza Roll

[Big Poppa]

Its not a calzone...its not a pizza....its a Pizza roll.

I was bored and wanted to try something different. Came up with this idea of a pizza roll
I preheated my Memphis Pro to 400
Roll you dough out

SPread your sauce I used a diced bruschetta then put some diced pancetta and a quatro formaggio and then some mozzerella

then rolled it up

onto the smoker with grill grates

After ten minutes I turned over and let it ride for 5 minutes

Sliced it up

and served...it didnt last long....

Wow great idea! Some melted garlic butter would have went nice with that. I like the grill grate idea too!

Great idea BP! With a smaller roll, those would make a great appetizer too.

a great twist on that is to cut the roll into slices before baking (like a cinnamon roll), put on baking sheet and let rise, throw on some extra cheese, then throw in the grill.

thats not a pizza roll it's called a stromboli!! calzone has no red sauce and is folded half moon. stromboli is layered with meats,cheese &vegies. it looks great!!!
