Burgers-n-Hickory Smoked Onion Rings

I've made these before on the drum and the Memphis. I wanted to see how they turned out on the Hasty Bake.

put my o-rings and bacon wrapped burgers on the top grate. Lowered the hot coal rack to the "smoke" setting and added hickory pellets..

the onions smoked for about 30 minutes..

after about an hour I raised the hot coal rack and seared the burgers..

used beer batter for the rings...

made a spicy sauce using Hula Girl Chipotle Habanero and ketsup...

I went with spicy brown mustard on the burger...

It was tasty... The Hasty Bake did a great job!

Jeanie,
Another quality cook! Smoking the onion rings before frying them! Bacon wrapping the burgers! Wow!! Somehow I don't think tonight's dinner will satisfy me after seeing your meal.

Once again I am amazed... you took a simple burger & onion rings and went over the top of the scales, I'm simply amazed!

It looks like you pan-fried the rings instead of deep frying, is that correct? Never thought of doing them that way.

Yes Jeff, I use about an inch of oil, or just enough so the rings will "float". Seems to work fine. :)
