Charcoal Pellets - Anyone Try These?

I just saw that BBQr's Delight offers charcoal pellets! I'm really curious if anyone has tried these? I'd love to know how they work for heat and taste.

Smoked with the charcoal pellets last weekend. Heat and taste was fine, one thing we really liked was the odor of charcoal while cooking, just for that we are planning on purchasing more.

If you want the aroma and flavor of burning lump while enjoying the accuracy and consistency of a pellet grill they are perfect.

I love the smell of charcoal and chunks burning and smoking. I think a great combo would be to mix the charcoal/oak with apple, my favorite wood to smoke with. Doing that might give me the same great aroma I get from my Primo...well as close as possible anyways...that's what I'm hoping for.

i have never thought of ordering charcoal pellets before. i love the smell of lump. i'll have to try them out. charcoal mixed w/ cherry sound good. on a cherry kick lately. i did the all apple thing already. so, charcoal, cherry and some more peach. hog and chili got me started on the peach. i like it.

Yes I have used charcoal pellets and love it. I will always keep charcoal in my stash of pellets.
