chuck and wet willy

welp, i bought a couple of chuck roast and a frest trout. and away we go.....4 am. what am i doing up at this hour?

no glue. just some money and beef rub.

i cut up some green, yellow and purple onions. 2 gloves of garlic and 1 jalapeno in a pan. put the chuck roast in when it hit 170°. and a couple glugs of red wine and some drizzle of this stuff.

let sit in the pans for 1 hour and dumped them into tupperware. soooo good. the money one was better. they were both good but the money one had a more complex flavors going for it.

fired up the hasty bake and time for wet willy. buring alder in my cast iron pot.

willy, desert gold, pineapple fruit cup, chili oil.

thats what i love about when its just my wife and me. food is simple. we sat at the kitchen counter and ate willy and the chuck just in the tupperware. nothing else, just fish and beef. perfect and good. very simple. i love my wife because she lets me be me. it was a great weekend.

That trout looks so good. How did you like the pineapple with it?

It's been a while since we've smoked any trout on the grill.

it was good. i didn't have any lemon to put inside which i prefer. but, i use whatever the frig or pantry has to offer. i thought the pineapple would taste better than fruit cocktail. it was good. i love hazel. were becoming simpatico. ;)
