Cleaning the MAK griddle

How do you clean your MAK griddle?

I used mine last night for the first time and I soaked it in water all night to try to loosen up the bits that were stuck to it.
Today I ran it through the dish washer and it didn't come clean the way I would like.

Do you scrub yours with a scratch pad?
I didn't because I didn't want to damage the finish. Maybe I need to soak it longer and use more elbow grease..

We usually use a Scotch-Brite type scrubbing pad and hot water to get off anything that sticks to ours.

Looks like the griddle got really hot.

It was hot but no hotter than 375. I soaked it today some more and gave it some more elbow grease and ran it through the dish washer again. I'll see how it turns out when I get off work.

Dawn power dissolver pretty much cleans anything. Spray it on and let it sit for a while.
