If any MAK Grills Mobile customers are sent the free upgraded hardware - I would recommend against upgrading. My previously solid WiFi network is now anemic, and there is no signal out my back door which means no MAK Grills Mobile!

Your results may vary, but we have poor signal through the house, and NO signal outside.

I have had no problems with the Comcast upgraded hardware, in fact my signal is better than with my previous modem/router set-up. I have done several long cooks using the WiFi and have had no problems.

Check the new router's setting for which 802.11x standard it can accept. Be sure it's set to accept 802.11g and not just "n" only.

The MAK WiFi uses the "g" standard because it's much better at penetrating walls.

Better yet - get an EnGenius EAP9550 - I have these installed in a few hotels and a couple of other public wireless facilities and I have *NEVER* had a problem with any of them.
