I know this might be a stupid question but Im going to ask it anyway. If I am smoking two big pieces of meat at the same time, lets say a brisket, and chuck roast, or a turkey, maybe all three at the time, would I use the total weight to gauge cook time, or would I use each individual piece of meats weight on its own?
Example- total weight of all meat 30 lbs, average 1.5 hours per lb 45 hours?
Or- 16 Brisket 24 hours, 8 lb chuck roast 12 hours, 10 turkey 15 hours?
The numbers are just made up at 1.5 hours a lb for an example.
I guess I am wondering is total weight on the smoker, or the weight of each individual piece that matters when really loading up my smoker? I am guessing that it would be each piece of meats weight on its own?
