Crank up your Mak

Had a medium duty welding blanket in my work truck. Thought I would give it a try on the Mak. 60 deg ambient

Maxed out the Mak temp. Gonna be using this in the future.

That should work well for you Rick!

That is exactly why when we ordered the Yoder we added the insulated smoking jacket for it, works great!

I must admit yours is much better looking! ;) But mine was free ;)

I like that cover. Maybe an idea for Mak Daddy. Us cold weather people would buy these.

I agree that mak should offer a cover for cold weather cookers. Really makes a difference.i saw a 20-25 degree difference.

They work well! Just watch if your pit is powder coated... The heat built up under the blanket might scorch the finish a bit.

i made it through last winter without one.. might need to find something this year if it really makes a difference.

I use a grill kozey. Just over the lid and back. Nothing on the sides to block the vents. Clamp it to the handle and it moves when the lid opens .
