So I am just about ready to pull the trigger on a new grill... I am tossed between The Mak 1 star and the 2 Star. Any input would be appreciated..

I love my 1 Star, but if I were buying today (after seeing KyNola's shiny new MAK) I'd up-sell myself to the 2012 2 Star..

We absolutely love our 1 Star.

Some quick comparisons/considerations:

Both grills have the Pellet Boss & will hold plenty of food for a typical family cook (2 Star is a little bigger):

1 Star = 20.5" Wide X 18.5" Deep X 12" High - 380" sq. (760" sq. W/Upper Rack)

2 Star = 22" Wide x 19.5" Deep X 14" High 429" sq. (858" sq. W/Upper Rack)

The 1 Star lets you get into a high quality grill for $1299 and add features later as budget permits.

BUT...

If you plan to order the 1 Star with the Flame Zone, Side Shelf, Tool Hook & Bottom Shelf, then it may make more sense to just spend the extra $480 and get the 2 Star, which also adds the Cold-Smoke/warming box and quick pellet change feature.

Mind is all made up on the 2 Star... I will contact you guys in the next week or so BP. I have to make some arrangements with some folks I know in Buffalo to have it delivered there. I'm not paying the crazy UPS shipping costs to get across the border, would rather drive there and get it and pay the duty myself. Or I may just get a UPS po box and do it that way.

You will have no regrets, the new 2 star looks like the most beautiful grill on the market and I'm sure it's a prize winning cooker also.

I am sorry to BPS and all of your staff!!
I did not mean any disrespect. When I called PBS it was 5:30 and Sterling answered the phone,
again I called to say sorry....man some days you can not do anything right!!!

That goes to say what PBS represents, top shelf customer service!! Again Sorry!
I think BPS is great and what he does here is GREAT!!

Thanks,
