Do the new MAK 2 grills smoke as much as the previous MAK 2 grills? I finally got to see the previous MAK 2 fired up. At 150, the MAK smoked like crazy...more than my old pellet grill. At 180, constant smoke coming from the vents, with periodic bursts of lots of smoke. At 225, same thing...constant smoke between bursts of lots of smoke. I'm just not used to seeing that my smoke from a pellet grill.
I know what you're thinking...lots of smoke does not equal lots of good smoke, but it all looked good to me! Whether or not this would equate to lots of smoke flavor, I don't know. I do know that I'd rather see that amount of smoke coming from my pellet grill, rather than the very little that I do see from my pellet grill. The only way I did see that much smoke coming from my pellet grill was when I used a smoke generator.
If the new MAK 2 smokes as much as the older MAK 2, then I'm totally sold. now that I've seen it for myself, I'm sold!
