I am new to this site and want to learn as much as I can about smoking. I have a Trager BBQ and have done smoking but want to get better at it. I need lots of suggestions but am presently going to do some salmon this week. Any tips on brine or shortcuts. thanks bruce
Welcome aboard, plenty of good folks here who will help answer your questions. There are quite a few Traeger users on here with lots of great tips. As for that Salmon, start a thread in the lounge or look in the recipes section and I'm sure you'll get some good feedback.
The Doctor is in the House! On the Salmon. Almost anything works from frozen oj to teryaki . Most stores have a Salmon spice or rub. If you smoke at a lower temp like 275 or under put it on a warm plate when taking from the Traeger. A cold plate will suck the heat out of the fish in no time.
