Feedback on the Grilla smoker

My current grill is a traeger which I purchased over 10 years ago. I believe they were made in the US then. It has been a great grill. I had to replace the hot poker once. Quite different than the new models as the metal is a heavier gage and my auger is one solid piece of steel and not like the corkscrew on the models today. But after ten plus years of Nebraska winters I think it's time for a new purchase.

I had been looking at the MAK and Memphis. However I stumbled across the Grilla. It's not fancy and the 18 gage steel concerned me a little. But the unit is powdercoated and made in the US.

Can anyone provide feedback on the Grilla smoker?

OK there was a guy who spammed us about how great it was and it turned out they gave him a grill to spam websites..Candy Sue has one and likes it...Thom Emery is liking them...but he is also working in their marketing department now...

I have never cooked on one....I worry about the sliding doors and grease and the smallish cooking capacity

Thom chime in now that I have outed you! Seriously Thom likes it so Im sure it is good....I dont know that I would buy it over a one star....or a select by Memphis

I can tell you with certain that for cold smoking the AMNPS would not work with the Grilla due to lack of cross draft. Can you even get a top rack for it?
The 1 Star reigns on top for cold smoking with out a doubt as long as you add the AMNPS.

I think they are a nice design if the available space or storing/cooking is limited, but when you compare the price and grate area to competition they come up short in my opinion.
