The kids got home last weekend, and I wanted to grill up some home cooking for them. I tried my first four meat Q. I grilled up a ton of stuff, 14 lb packer, 4 slabs of ribs, 8 lb butt, 9 thighs and 6 breast, all on my little MAK 2 star. I did use a full upper shelf, which gave me about 860 inches of grill space, and boy did I use it all. Practicing for our first comp this January, and trying to figure out the logistic of preparing such different types of meat. Even with a pellet gill there is still a lot of tending that needs to take place. All in all the cook went over well. I plan on using two grills for comps which will really simplify things. One thing for sure I take my at off to guys who can pull it all together.
