Frog Mat that Cover Entire 2 Star or Only Half?

I am very interested in getting a frog mat for my 2 star. However, I was not sure if I would want one that would cover the entire grilling surface. Are there situations where someone would want to cook some items on the normal grates and other items on the frog mat at the same time?

I bought 2 and cut one in half. Having a half sized mat is handy for a family of three. The full sized one gets used more when I cook for company.

I ordered a big sheet of the 18" wide Amazen Qmatz at one point. You can buy it by the foot and cut it to size with a pair of scissors. I cut enough pieces for my top and bottom racks and for my MAK 2 smoking drawer, which is a different size than the main grill area. It's a must-have for smoking cheese...
