Now the question... I have a lot of good jalapenos on the vine in the garden. I am looking for feedback on a good way to freeze/preserve my jalapenos??? Thanks in advance!

It seems like there is a 50/50 mix on freezing the jalapenos. I hear people do it all the time and they are great, and then others say that they get mushy.... I plan on picking up a large amount next time they look good in the stores or the farmers market, cleaning them and slices them in half and freezing them.

I cored them an froze them on a cookie sheet then transferred to a freezer bag. Worked great. Haven't stuffed any yet, but used them in salsa and other dishes. They really get hot when they are smoked. Only put 2 in a batch of salsa and they were hotter than we wanted.

I had a small batch of jalapenos a while back. I cut the tops off and seeded them. Rinsed them out and dried them as best I could with a paper towel. Next I vacuum sealed them. They are still very usuable. Didn't lose any heat, either.
