Got a Box from Fed Ex on my Birthday Yesterday....

A BIG box!!!

It's a 2017 MAK 1 Star with most of the accessories: new style FlameZone, Full Upper Rack, new style Griddle & Searing Grate, and a blank Grease Pan insert.

I am excited, and can't wait to get it put together. Even though it looks sunny in that pic, it's cold here right now. The temperature dropped again and we actually had snow this morning, so the entire crate is covered tightly with a tarp until Friday, when hopefully my son and I can get it put together.

As soon as it's together, I'll be posting a full review of the stock 1 Star, as well as the new FlameZone.


It was a nice surprise for this to happen on my Birthday. Many thanks to all involved in making this happen!

Any reason you didn't go for the 2 Star since you've already had a 1 star before? You have bought all of the accessories that mostly comes with the 2? Just wondering. You can send the old 1 Star my way!! LOL! Hope the birthday was great. Looking forward to some pics of that baby in action!

Actually, the only accessory I got that already comes with the 2 Star is the FlameZone. Everything else (Griddle, Searing Grate, Upper Rack) are also extras for the 2 Star. The other main reason is the 1 Star is easier to transport, which I need to do 2 -3 times per year.

A good friend of mine was happy to buy the 2014 1 Star with it's accessories.
