Grapewood

Doing some searching of this and other forums, I think I know the answer to this question, but I'll through it out here anyway. My wife and I have a small vineyard which we get mounds of grape vine prunings every year. We have a pile about 15ft x 6ft x 6ft. Is there any use for these in a pellet smoker environment? My thought is no, but I wanted to see what others think before I torch the pile.

Pellet smokes are specifically designed to use pellets so regardless whether this type of wood is a good choice, the first question is how are you going to turn that pile of clippings into pellets?

I've heard that grape wood is good for smoking. Could small chunks be used in one of those smoke tubes? I don't know, but it's an idea.

I think I will try the AMAZEN tube. I gave some of the clippings to our dentist who uses them to grill fish on, like a cedar plank, which he does in his gas grill. I might try something like that too.

Thanks for you inputs.
