I have a GMG and it has been great for me. I am sure I will upgrade to a MAk one day but for now the GMG suits me just fine. I have a Treager at my place in FLA and the GMG is a much more solid piece IMO. But in the end they both cook fine.

I too have a Green Mountain Grill or should I say "used to have" I have discovered the one thing that the Green Mountain or for that matter ANY brand grill will not survive.......a divorce! I lost it in the settlement! So just to make myself feel better about it I'm getting a bigger replacement! But at any case, a Green Mountain is a good grill, bottom line is YOU have to be satisfied with the finished product that goes on the plate!

Even though I am a total Mak fan it is because I own one and very much love it,as many people on this thread love and enjoy what they cook on. {excuse me smoke on} I have never nor never will disc what other choices people choose how ever when someone asks my opinion I will express it from my experience. There are many great cookers posting here on many different grills with great results. Have you ever smoked eaten or observed food cooked on a Mak 2 star? And if I were a betting man i bet your american car was only assembled here. But next time you hear of someone being unemployed ask if it"s really cheaper and better to send our jobs overseas.

Well to make a long story short I had so many problems with my Yoder I sent it back to the company permanently.Now mind you this was after sending it back once to have them fix it and them basically telling me "it runs just fine".
But to be fair I have heard from people that Yoder has figured out their software/fan issues but I have not seen/used one lately so I can't say.
Now I have a Mak and have not really had any issues with it at all.(Unless it was user error)
Just my .02. :D
