Ok I wasn't going to cook it....not sure I got invited...hehehehe But then Pigskin BBQ who are great friends and supporters of Big Poppa's seasonings coming off their commanding 20 point Jack Daniels victory call and asked if we could help them out.

With their Jack win they qualified for the Kingsford Challenge...and 8 team winner take all for $50,000.00. They would have an impossible time working their normal jobs and getting their rigs to both vegas and missouri back to back from Iowa. THey asked if I could bring our rig and cook on their team. After confirming it was ok with the promoters I got Little Louies clearance....Was supposed to film cooking videos for the website all weekend....moved that to Monday Tuesday...and Im in I think the promoter kind of liked the winner of the Jack and the winner of the American Royal Invitational joining forces.

So off to vegas, then two days of 18 hour days filmin and then off to Laughlin for my 8th comp in a row!

Special thanks to Meat Man here for getting us great ribs and pork. Will is just a super class act.

Tear it up!

All, here is the site to find out more about this unique event: World Food Championships Hosted By Adam Richman

It's more than a BBQ contest, there's the Chili Championship, Chef Challenge, Burger Championship, Sandwich Championship, Side Dish Championship and Recipe Championship.

The World Barbecue Championship will bring the greatest competition barbecue teams, cooks and chefs together under one Vegas sky to settle the score and name the World Barbecue Champion. The World Barbecue Champion will go on to the Final Table and see if ‘America’s Cuisine’ will rule the world.

Choosing from all the major sanctioning bodies, The World Food Championships will select 90 premier barbecue competitions. The Grand Champion of those 90 events will receive automatic invitations to enter and compete at The World Food Championships, along with 5 champions selected by the WFC Competition Committee and 5 champions selected by Just A Pinch. Will this be televised? Seems to me I saw you a few years back on a Kingsford comp.

Good luck BP and team. Show them the "Money."

we did pretty well....but not good enough 82 teams they call the top ten in no particular order.....then you had to go about a mile away in a big hurry to the main stage on las vegas blvd and find out how you did....we were 10th over all....I dont know how we placed but we didnt get a good score in sauce....It was a fine cook...

yeah. Sauce killed us if we turned in sweet baby rays we would have gcD. Seriously. A good friend turned in s b r and got a very high score. Scott Nelson of pig skin is a great cook and we worked very well together. Used my brisket. He got robbed on his pork. I thought I had tasted a 180

did you compete in burgers, chili or side dish? Probably would have been a distraction to enter to many facets of the competition at once but you would have been able to compete in any of those other categories.
