I have used a fire box smoker for more than 20 years and just converted to a Texas Treager 4 months ago. What took me so long? I'm a little slow I guess. Mostly I have always done Baby Backs, so now I'm branching out. It took some adjusting to get my ribs back to the way I like them, but worth it. I really like my Treager now that I have broke it in. I've read that there is 100% hickory pellets out there and some other ways to get more smoke with add ons so thanks for the great forum. I will be asking some questions and hope to make some contributions as well. Looking forward to expanding my horizons with my Treager.

Welcome!

A fair warning on the 100% pellets... They produce a large amount of ash. I know, I've tried them all. You'll see more pellets blended with Oak or Alder, as they are cleaner burning.
