Help with Traiger Smoke Setting - Temp drops to 100-103

Recently received a Traeger - excited to use - have the digital control with the smoke setting and temps above that. I want to set at smoke for and 1 or 2 before turning the heat up - the problem being the temp drops way down to around 103 - I am told the temp should hold around 150 to 180. It just doesn't seen to be doing much - and definitely not smoking. If I turn the heat up to 180 or 225 it seems to hold the temp quite well - fluctuates some but nothing drastic.

I have not messed with the "P" setting or anything as of yet.

I think the factory P setting is 6. This p setting slows down or speeds up the pellet feed by 10 seconds per number. If you go below much below 160 you risk the chance of flame out. I'd give Treager a call.
