Welcome to the forum Luke. Ask alot of questions, do your research and always buy what you think is to big and a little to expensive now, because it will be just right later. Good luck and good smoking.

Welcome from North Carolina.

Make a list of how and what you want to cook. Create your personal cooking profile. Keep it flexible enough to add new features to your list. Decide what kind of budget you are willing to commit to. Be forewarned that if you start at the lower end, you will probably be upgrading at least once in the next several years. I took the approach to start at the upper end. I am still upgrading, but with accessories that are made specifically for my grill. There are many more choices today than when I first got into pellet cooking. I would still make the same choice today. I bought a MAK 2 Star. It gave me the most for my money, with the ability to expand my cooking horizons. Good luck with your research and your decision.
