A full blank pan for the new flame kits? Yes I want one. More were talking sparky language.
Sparky, my MAK 829 came with a full blank pan and a full flame zone pan. You can change them out in about 2 seconds. Perfect for me.

Mak 1000 has the new design. I think I would have liked the other. Still too new to know for sure at this point.

Our preliminary experience seems to back up what people are saying with the TC reading lower than what seems to be going on at the cooking surface. We're not getting the grill temp reading to agree with the set point. We were set to something like 405F and high, but not reading more than 380F of grill temp. We'll let you know how it goes. Cooking up some grilled veggies and flatiron steak.

Will these be identical in size to the flame zone insert? Also when will they be available and has a price been set?

I actually just e-mailed MAK and asked cuz I think I may want one of those too.Although couldn't a person just put a piece of foil over the Flame Zone pan and that would basically give you the same effect?
