how long should the 2 star stay on "igniting"?

I just started trying to fire it up for the first time to season it, and the grill has been on "igniting" for about 5 minutes, I can't feel any heat off it. Is this normal?

Edit: never mind. Just checked again and its up and going.

Yep, in colder weather it always takes a little longer to get them pellets heated.

The first time you run it, the auger needs to fill with pellets so it will take longer the first time as the auger slowly turns filling with pellets until the pellets finally reach the firepot and begin adding pellets into the firepot for ignition. Filling the auger is a one time operation unless you messed up and either ran out of pellets or had to empty the auger for some other purpose.
After that first time, it should ignite around 5+ minutes depending on how full of ash you left the firepot from the last cook. A clean firepot will ignite faster than a dirty one will.
